Are there age limitations? 18 and up

Health limitation:  Some of our available beds are bunk beds.  If you have a medical reason (documented) we will do our best to place you on a bottom bed.  We will inform you if there are only top bunks available.  

Where are you located?

We have a clinical locations in Waverly, Greenfield, Chillicothe and Kingston 

Will my insurance be accepted?

We accept the majority of insurance and offer self-pay and scholarships for some applicants (when funds are available.  Call for details)

What are your levels of care?

We work with clients who are appropriate for Intensive Outpatient and offer supportive housing options to accommodate those in need.  We also offer outpatient services for those who may need less intensive therapy.

Do you have an in-house medical professional?

Yes, We have a Nurse Practitioner and several RN’s on staff.

How do I get admitted?

You can submit an application online or call in and talk with Shawn Strange to complete a screening process and find out about eligibility.

How much does it cost?

 It varies depending on client need.  Many of our clients are completely covered by respective health insurance.

What does addiction recovery entail?

Addiction recovery entails many aspects.  Our program uses the ASAM criteria to determine barriers to recovery in 1 or more of the 6 dimensions and works with the client to develop a treatment plan that helps identify and address any and/or all of those barriers.

How long is the average stay?

Average stay is around 7 months but could last a year or longer depending on the needs of the individual.

Am I able to receive mail while at recovery?

Yes standard mail is acceptable as well as package delivery.  However, if you are in the supportive housing you may want to be careful as Reach for Tomorrow does not monitor and/or assume responsibility for any packages that are delivered at the supportive housing.  There are drop centers throughout the city where you can pick packages up as needed.

Am I able to see a doctor while at REACH?

We have a Nurse Practitioner that is available once per week and several nurses.  If you need additional care we provide referrals and transport to the doctor as needed.

Is my family allowed to visit me at REACH?

Yes.  However, it is case by case and must be approved if they are at any of the supportive housing locations.

Am I able to work while at REACH?

Yes, after the first 30 days you will be eligible for work but are not permitted to work during group therapy hours and/or 3rd shift without prior authorization.

Will I be able to drive while at REACH? If you have a valid drivers license and up to date insurance coverage.

How often do clients attend therapy?

M-F 9am-noon with an additional hour for nursing groups once per week.  1 hour of individual counseling and 1 hour for mental health counseling per week (when needed).

What therapies do you provide?

Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Family Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Recreation Therapy, Evidence Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Art Therapy

Is this a 12-step or SMART Recovery Program?

Is this a 12-step or SMART Recovery Program? We offer both approaches and emphasize client autonomy and clinical collaboration

What is the difference between outpatient and intensive outpatient?

The primary difference is the number of services that a person receives where one level is characterized by about 10 more hours of available hours each week.

Is my treatment confidential?

Yes Reach for tomorrow strives to maintain confidentiality according to HIPPA guidelines. 

Is there a Psychiatrist on staff?

We have psychiatric support staff available upon appointment.

What happens if I have a pending legal issue? We will work with you to help resolve any such barriers.

What do I tell my employer if I am going to treatment?

We encourage people to be as honest as they are able with employers and encourage them to call and discuss matters with our team.

Will my job know I am going to treatment?

Not necessarily.  If you choose to keep the matter private we will maintain HIPPA guidelines.

What do I bring to rehab?

We recommend no more that 5 pairs of clothes 2 paris of shoes and needed toiletries.

What are we not allowed at treatment?

The following is a list of some items that are not allowed but may not represent an all inclusive list:  knives, un-authorized medications, energy drinks, pre-workout powder or other OTC stimulants.  Please call for any items that you might be concerned about.

Do you offer financial assistance?

Yes.  Whenever possible.  We work with people who have no insurance and create a sliding scale for a percentage of our clients (when funding is available and allows for such) please call for details or to explore eligibility.
